Suffice it to say.. a lot more frequently than this one has been updated.
I’m going to try to update this blog by filling in the blanks since February 2009.
In April of 2009 I had the pleasure of working with Vicki Grey, of http://www.actionphotosonline.com/, to photograph the New Braunfels Youth Soccer Association Team & Individual photos.
In May of 2009 I photographed a wedding in Friendswood, Tx with Tina Looney and Coby James . Photos of this event can be seen at http://smu.gs/tluJlf

Took a trip to the San Antonio Zoo Saturday.

Kenny D. says.., Saturday February 21st, 2009, I took a trip to the San Antonio Zoo where I met up with a couple other photographers. I've lived in the San Antonio area since June 2006 and this was my first time going to the San Antonio Zoo. The day started out overcast and cool with almost no wind. While we were there a front blew in and gave us a little bit of rain. Fortunately there were plenty of things to photograph inside out of the rain. Here are some images from the trip. You can see more of the images I captured at this gallery on my website.

Pocket Wizard releases the new MiniTT1 and FlexTT5
Kenny D. says.., I sure wish they had done this sooner! As it is, I'm quite happy that they have made a product that is simple to use and.., backward compatible with their current line of products.

Bandera Cowboy Mardi Gras Parade
Kenny D. says.., Hey gang! I photographed the Cowboy Mardi Gras Parade yesterday held in Bandera, TX, Cowboy Capital of the World. It was great weather for a parade and excellent conditions for photography.

After covering the parade, I went to over to Bandera High School where a softball game was in progress.

After the parade, this band performed at the 11th Street Cowboy Bar.

Are you getting the most out of your Pocket Wizards?
Kenny D. says.., I have this love/hate relationship with Pocket Wizards. I love the versatility they provide and hate the price. Fortunately; There is little that can go wrong with them and for most pratical purposes they are 100% reliable.
If you have a set of these little jewels, it is important to know how to get the most out of them. Here's a video to let you know a little about what can be done with these wireless triggering devices.
I happen to think Pocket Wizards are one of those things that belong in every serious photograpers kit. If not now, then at some time in the future.
If you enjoyed this video head on over to the strobist site and let David know.

Photos from our Alamo Village Trip

Kenny D. says.., Comments are welcome!
We arrived to find winds from blowing from the North and temperatures hovering at 43F. The first part of our day was spent trying to stay warm while capturing artistic western compositions. We spent the majority of the day in Alamo Village, had lunch in the Cantina and have decided that this is definitely a place that we have to go back to. The possibilities seemed to be endless.

Alamo Village Trip
Kenny D. says.., It's been a long day.., and well worth the drive to go visit Alamo Village. Karen, Allen, Cassie & husband, Dave and myself had a great time. We are all ready to go back again. The images I captured are downloading to the computer as I update this, but don't expect to see them soon. Almost everything I captured was done using 5-shot bracketed exposures. I'll be processing using hdr, exposure blending and other various techniques.
